Industry and process plants
Access routes and technical floors in chemically aggressive environments, from petrochemical to food & beverage.
Applications
- Industrial walkways
- Maintenance gangways
- Work platforms and technical floors
- Service stairs
- Structural gratings
- Canopies over rest and equipped areas inside plants
- Structures for food & beverage and livestock farming
Gangways and walkways
The route at height, with no plant shutdown.
A maintenance gangway crosses the plant above pipework and process areas: pultruded main beams, a grating deck, a two-rail parapet with kick plate. It arrives on site in finished spans and is installed with light plant and no hot work in the process area — the constraint that, on chemical and petrochemical sites, decides the supply on its own. There is no galvanising to renew and no repainting to schedule: the atmosphere that eats steel is the one the material was chosen for.

Service stairs and ladders
Vertical access,as designed and in service.
A cage ladder lives outdoors, against a tank or a wall, for the whole life of the plant: in galvanised steel it is the first structure to show rust at the joints and fixings. In GRP the stringers, rungs and safety cage are the same material as the walkways, with AISI 316 fixings and the same maintenance schedule — none. On the left the design configuration, on the right the same structure installed.

Canopies inside the plant
Even wherepeople take a break
A canopy over the rest area or an equipped area sits in the same atmosphere as the walkways: process vapours, wash-downs, continuous exposure. Structure and roof in light-finish GRP, pigmented through, with no paint film for the plant’s air to peel within a few years — and no steel post to inspect at the base.
