What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on the visitor’s device and reads back on later visits. They serve to remember a preference, keep a session open or — in the case of profiling cookies — reconstruct browsing behaviour for advertising purposes. Browser local storage and similar technologies do comparable work and follow the same rules.

The cookies this site uses

This site installs no profiling cookies, no advertising cookies and no analytics cookies, and it uses neither browser local storage nor any equivalent tracking technology. Since nothing requiring prior consent is installed, no banner is shown.

The reading language does not require a cookie either: it is written into the address — the English pages live under /en — so the site has nothing to remember from one visit to the next.

Infrastructure cookies

The provider hosting the site (Vercel Inc.) may set strictly technical cookies, needed to deliver the page requested and to protect the connection — for instance to balance load across servers. These are the cookies that Article 122 of the Italian Privacy Code exempts from consent, because without them the requested service cannot be provided. They are not used to recognise the visitor or for marketing purposes.

Third-party services without cookies

The site loads its typefaces from the Google Fonts service. Loading them installs no cookies, but it does involve a connection to Google’s servers, which receive the visitor’s IP address in order to serve the file: that processing is described in the privacy notice, along with the site’s other providers.

Managing cookies in your browser

Regardless of what this site does, every browser allows stored cookies to be inspected, blocked or deleted: the instructions are in the support pages of the browser in use — Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge. Blocking technical cookies indiscriminately can stop many sites from working properly.

Updates

If the site later adopts measurement tools or third-party services that install cookies, this page will be updated before they are switched on and, where required, consent collection will be introduced. The version published here is the one in force, with the revision date shown at the top.
